Laura Cruz is originally from the beautiful island of Puerto Rico. She moved to Miami in 2021, where she earned her Master of Professional Science in Marine Conservation at the University of Miami’s Rosenstiel School of Marine, Atmospheric, and Earth Science. Her passion lies in understanding marine and terrestrial ecosystems and developing bilingual educational content. Laura previously served as the organization’s Education and Outreach Manager, where she led K-12 environmental education programs and volunteer events, including snorkel and kayak cleanups and habitat restoration projects. She now continues as a Youth Education Advisor, providing ongoing support to our youth programs.
