WSVN reported, citing Miami Waterkeeper, that more than 1,000 gallons of raw sewage spilled into the Miami River after heavy weekend downpours overwhelmed the county’s Central Plant and sent an overflowing manhole spilling near Northwest Seventh Street. As of that afternoon, we flagged that the leak had not been stopped and the affected street had not yet been sanitized.
